Imprimatur Marks Three Decades' Automotive Communications Experience by Investing in Translation Innovation
Founded in April 1995, Imprimatur focusses entirely on the automotive industry and has built an armoury of language assets in readiness for evolving customer requirements. The company’s first three clients, who are still with Imprimatur after 30 years, are Bentley Motors, Triumph Motorcycles and Massey Ferguson.
Early to trial machine translation in the 1990s, Imprimatur today offers both human and automated translation services. The quality of modern machine translation has led to the two specialisms blending, retaining human checks of source materials and editing of target documents. Speed and efficiency benefits are delivered to the client, while communications remain tailored to the intended audience.
Imprimatur’s translation assets reflect years of automotive service. Its extensive library of stored translations and company-specific dictionaries inform a consistent approach to tone of voice and brand messaging across all publications and languages.
Imprimatur works for manufacturers of vehicles and motorcycles, harnessing its industry specialism to manage briefs from across clients’ organisations. For Design & Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Communications and Aftersales, the team’s output includes websites, brochures, PR collateral, homologation specifications, infotainment content, service and owner information.
