Quanos
Imprimatur is a certified Quanos Service Partner. Quanos' advanced software systems help technical writers and service teams create, augment, and share information.
Having introduced Bentley Motors and Triumph Motorcycles to ST4 a decade ago, Imprimatur continues to support and expand their unique applications of ST4, the component content management system (CCMS) made by Quanos for creating and managing technical documentation.
What is ST4?
- A modular content system: Content is written in small content building blocks ("nodes") that can be reused across different documents.
- Separation of content and layout: Content is stored independently from structure and design, allowing you to publish to many different formats (PDF, HTML, help systems, etc.) without duplicating content.
- Variant management: You can efficiently create product documentation for different variants (e.g. product models, languages).
- Translation support: It helps reduce translation costs by reusing modular content and supporting translation workflows.
- Automation and integration: ST4 can be integrated with other systems (e.g. PLM, ERP) and automated workflows can be built.
- AI features: There are AI-driven capabilities, like metadata suggestion (via ST4 AI Jetpack).
- Cloud version: There is an ST4 Cloud edition, allowing users to work from anywhere via a web interface.
Why use ST4
- It is commonly used in technical writing teams (e.g. for automotive) where content is complex, highly modular, and needs to be repurposed.
- It supports single-source publishing allowing you to maintain a single master content repository and output to many document types.
- By managing modular content, it helps reduce redundant writing and lowers translation and maintenance costs.
- With its AI tools it can help automate metadata, improve content structure, and speed up processes.
